Egencia Consulting’s dashboard normalizes traveler wellbeing
Tangible metrics based on travel program data will help customers make informed decisions about employees’ wellbeing
London, UK – December 7, 2022 – Today, Egencia, the only proven B2B travel tech platform, launches its Wellbeing Dashboard. Travel metrics in the dashboard help companies design travel policies that incorporate traveler wellbeing.
Egencia Consulting created the dashboard in response to customer demand for a tangible way to measure traveler wellbeing. The dashboard is available to all Egencia and American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) clients. Dashboard metrics include:
- Percentage of same day trips or trips above the number of days set by the client
- Percentage of trips that include weekend travel
- KPIs benchmarked amongst other clients
By benchmarking metrics against other businesses, clients access a range of best practice guidelines based on typical traveler behaviors. This can be segmented by sector or travel spend. For example, based on the averages surfaced by the benchmarking data, a business might decide that the majority of business trips should last three days or less to limit the impact on employees’ wellbeing.
John Sturino, Egencia’s VP Product and Technology, said: “The new world of work has made it more important than ever for companies to ensure they're focusing on their employees' wellbeing. Businesses know that travel has an effect on employee stress and fatigue, but without clear metrics it's hard to know what changes might help. We therefore designed the Wellbeing Dashboard to give customers the data they need to design a wellbeing-conscious travel policy.”
Richard Eades, Global Category Manager Travel, Meetings & Events, BP commented: “To build a wellbeing-driven and balanced travel policy, we need qualified answers to important questions: Are colleagues flying too much? Are they spending too much time on the road? By monitoring and benchmarking our performance on metrics like trip length, we can build travel policies that protect our employees from excessive, or uncomfortable travel experiences and to ensure a positive work v life balance. This data is valuable across multiple areas of the business and helps provide key information for collaborative BP HR, Health, ESG and Group Security leadership conversations and decisions.”
The dashboard enhances the existing suite of sustainability services offered by Egencia Consulting and American Express Global Business Consulting. By working together and leveraging strong expertise across both teams, our end-to-end solution including traveler behavioral analysis, provides clients even more value to design a travel program that truly look after the wellbeing of travelers.
