Egencia Preferred Hotel Rates – Dare to Compare in 2017!

In 2017 third quarter, we shared with you a comparison of Egencia Preferred Hotel Rates (EPRs) versus Expedia Special Rates (ESRs) and the public rates available on the GDS. We are following up with fourth quarter data to bring you insight into performance for all of 2017. From November to December 2017, EPRs were lower than public rates by 15% on 3-stars hotels and by 14% on 4-stars hotels.

Looking back at all of 2017 (January to December 2017), EPRs were lower by:

  • 19% on 2.5 stars hotels (26$ off)
  • 16% on 3-stars hotels (23$ off)
  • 16% on 3.5 stars hotels (28$ off)
  • 14% on 4-stars hotels (29$ off)
  • 14% on 4.5 stars hotels (38$ off)
