The most recent Egencia Business Travel and Technology Survey revealed that travellers are wasting time grappling with ground transport and don’t always have the information they need to choose wisely. For 46 per cent of business travellers in Australia, arranging ground transportation is the most frustrating part of booking their own travel. Frustrated, unaware of other options or pressed for time, 72 per cent of these travellers choose to default to the taxi line at the airport as the easiest way to find their way around an unfamiliar city.

To make this part of the journey better, Egencia® TripNavigator – an app that streamlines the business travel experience by connecting users with hotel and flight booking, travel alerts and trip summaries – is now connecting with Uber and City Mapper to provide personalised route information directly to the traveller. At every stage of the trip, the traveller sees an in-app summary of ground transportation options. Whether by car, walking or public transportation, these options automatically use the address or location of the traveller’s next step in the trip. Without having to enter details, the traveller gets the time to destination and estimated costs and is seamlessly delivered the information they need to get them on their way.
